Hi, my name is Maria. I’m a warm and compassionate counsellor dedicated to helping individuals navigate their life journey with kindness and care. I offer an empathetic, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and challenges, all while feeling safe, supported, and heard.

With a background in HR and a specialisation in Counselling, I blend evidence-based practices such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy (NT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). My approach is person-centred, grounded in empathy and active listening. I believe in meeting you where you are and letting you guide your own healing process.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from all walks of life, both in Australia and overseas. I’ve spent time volunteering with vulnerable groups, such as the elderly, those facing terminal illness, and children living in challenging circumstances. These experiences have given me valuable insight into the many difficulties people face and have shaped my approach to counselling—one rooted in optimism, understanding, and respect.

I’m passionate about empowering my clients to build resilience, improve their wellbeing, and achieve personal growth. My focus is on creating a safe and trusting environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself.

My personal faith has played a key role in my own healing, so I am also open to helping Christian clients incorporate their faith as part of their healing journey, if that is something they wish to explore.

A Bit About Me: Originally from Ecuador, I migrated to Australia in 2009. I am married with three beautiful boys who bring me daily joy and happiness. In my free time, I enjoy spending time in nature and with my friends and family.
